ANSWERS TO SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS, 201!

I just went and looked at some of the questions that you asked me. One of the questions was:
1. Do they have restaurants and stores like we do? Yes, they do! I was in a 7-11 last night. They have Subway and they have McDonalds all over the place. Their restaurants look like ours do, except many, many restaurants have pictures of their food in the front of the restaurant. They even have plastic dishes with plastic foods showing what you can buy. It's weird to see that, but it helps when you go to order food and you can't speak Japanese, like me! I will post some photos.
2. Are the children like us? I have not gone to any schools yet, that will be next week. But I see school children all over the place. Yesterday I saw lots of kids on field trips. The younger children were all wearing bright yellow caps. I think we read about that in one of our books. There were many children in uniforms, alot of the uniforms are sailor oufits. Very cute! I don't know if you guys would like to wear uniforms like the Japanese children wear. I saw a preschool getting dismissed. The mothers did NOT pick their children up in cars. NOPE, they picked them up in bicycles!! Every single mom picked up their little child, put them in a bike seat on the back of the bike and bicycled home. Can you imagine your mom picking you up from school like that?? I couldn't! I was not allowed to take a picture, as there was a big sign that said NO PICTURES! You will just have to use your imagination!
3. Are the stores like ours? I have not been to a department store yet, but there are lots of little grocery stores, drug stores and clothing stores that look like ours, except everything is in Japanese, of course!
