A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN

Dear 201,
I had the best night tonight! I went shopping with the most wonderful Japanese husband and wife. They are friends of a friend of mine from Philadelphia. They came to the hotel to meet me. I had two new teacher friends with me. We rode the subway to a very fancy part of Tokyo where there are very, very, very expensive shops. It was beautiful!! Everything was so bright and clean and the shops had gorgeous merchandise. What do you think merchandise means? All the women were dressed up with high heels and the men were in suits. I even saw some ladies shopping in kimonos. I took their pictures for you. We had to take 3 different subways to get there and back. The subway was so crowded we had to stand the whole time. Then we went to a restaurant and had Japanese food. Take a look at our dinners, how do they look to you? Would you eat them? What kind of food do you see?

Thank you, Ms. Schecter!! I have had lots of sushi!! You have got to start applying for some of these free trips. I have met young teachers just like you that have been all over the world on free teacher trips. It's incredible what is out there for us!! I am going to bring back information! It is wonderful and I miss you, but not school! How is Djizaire? Please tell Anika to blog me!!! Also, can you check tomorrow and see if my kids can get on? Maybe someone can go help them, they've been on once so far, but I want them to get on more!! If you can, if not, no big deal!!
Have a great day, night, whatever it is for you!!
Love,
Judy

HELLO, SEAWRIGHT BOYS!
HOW NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU! I HAD THE BEST DAY EVER! I WENT TO ANOTHER CITY NEAR TOKYO AND LEARNED ALL ABOUT A NEW RELIGION CALLED BUDDHISM. I SAW THE LARGEST BUDDAH IN THE WORLD. LOOK UP KAMAKURA, JAPAN ON THE INTERNET AND YOU WILL LEARN WHAT I DID. I AM GOING TO TRY TO POST MY PICTURES, BUT DON'T KNOW IF I CAN. KEEP WRITING. LOVE,
MRS. WILLNER
